Chapter 7: Viruses, Bacteria, Protists & Fungi
Students will learn the basic structures and characteristics of viruses, bacteria, protists and fungi. Several labs will reinforce the concept that viruses and bacteria quickly multiply and spread. Students will compare and contrast the structures of unicellular and multicellular protists under compound microscope. Using dissecting microscopes, students will observe the structures of fungi to understand how reproduction of these decomposers differs from the other kingdoms.
